Not quite the luxury spa treatment you might imagine, but highly effective nonetheless.
Elephants use dust baths to help protect their skin from the sun, keep insects at bay, and cool themselves down during warmer parts of the day. Watching several tonnes of elephant enthusiastically throw dirt over themselves is also one of the more entertaining sights on safari.
Sometimes the best moments in the bush are the messiest ones!
