In March KLM, Serena Hotels and Pollman’s Safaris hosted a group of 9 agents on an epic fam trip to Kenya. The group spent their first night at the Nairobi Serena where they feasted on lobsters and prawns straight off the barbeque. Then it was off to the Mara Serena Safari Lodge – which enjoys one of the best locations in Kenya for watching the famous migration. The game viewing was nothing short of incredible including a lioness feeding her two cubs, lots of elephants and a cheetah on the hunt right next to us being definite highlights that had many of the group near tears with emotion. We enjoyed a decadent breakfast at the hippo pools and a visit to an authentic Maasai village where one of the agents managed to secure herself a royal proposal in return for 9 cows! We ended our trip with lakeside luxury – staying at the sumptuous Lake Elmenteita Serena Camp which undoubtedly sets a new bar for tented luxury in Kenya. We enjoyed breakfast on the lakeside – watching pink flamingos wade between the pelicans as we tucked into another feast.
