A few drops of rain didn't deter a bunch of East Africa enthusiasts from gathering at the funky beach bar at The Montague on the Gardens in London on Tuesday 12 September 2017. We sipped pina coladas out of coconut shells in our Kenya Airways flip flops and Serena Hotels' swahili-style kikoys and shared our love for all things East African whilst the team served up prawns, burgers and tasty tid bits off the BBQ.
Thankfully the beach hut didn't just come with lovely white sandy beach floor - it had the added bonus of a cocktail bar, thatched roof and heaters (this is England afterall) to keep us toasty while we pretended we were on a sunny East African beach far, far away. The event was hosted by Serena Hotels, Kenya Airways, KLM/Air France as well as ARP Safaris (Alpha Rangers Pollman).
