The Zulu Route entourage continue their UK tour but we managed to get them to stand still long enough to take a picture and here they are from left to right we have Alison Whitfield (Ethos Marketing), Craig Rutherfoord (Ghost Mountain Inn), Isabella Stepski (Pakamisa), Ami Neve (Oyster Box), Amanda England (Ethos Marketing), Richard Bates (Fordoun) and Peter Laverick (South African Airways).
Yesterday they visited Hartley’s Safaris before continuing up to York for an evening with African Pride and their Yorkshire agents. It was another successful event promoting KwaZulu-Natal, our KZN clients and www.zuluroute.com. All of the thirty agents that attended went away saying how much they had learned and enjoyed the evening.
Today the group have travelled from East to West for lunch at Jabula Restaurant in Ellesmere Port. Although none of the team have visited Jabula before all were pleasantly surprised as it turned out to be a little piece of South Africa plonked down by the Manchester Ship Canal and provided the perfect environment to continue educating the Cheshire tour operators and travel agents on the Zulu Route.
Jabula is owned and run by Annemarie Groenewald, who originates from Durban, and she laid on the most amazing, authentic South African cuisine that anyone had tasted outside the Rainbow Nation. The delicious dishes kept coming and included bobotie, boerewors, ostrich, kudu and crocodile with melktert and koeksisters for afters. Annemarie could not do enough for us and arranged for African drummers to welcome the guests and entertain them before lunch. This is a venue we will definitely be using again and can thoroughly reccomend to anyone wanting an authentic African experience in the UK.
The food was so good and so plentiful that everyone took home a doggy bag for dinner!!
