Agents and Operators across the country can look forward to a warm “Sanibonani” (Zulu greeting) and a taste of all things “Zulu” later this month as the KwaZulu-Natal Roadshow hits UK soil … running! Ethos Marketing and South African Airways (SAA), have arranged a number of workshops, training sessions, meetings and exciting Zulu-themed events in “Wow factor” venues in London and across the country promoting KwaZulu-Natal – and its Zulu Route …
Ethos Marketing represents 6 hotels/lodges located in the Zulu Kingdom and a number of the owners are coming over from South Africa, including Richard Bates from Fordoun Spa & Hotel, Isabella Stepski fromPakamisa Private Game Reserve and Craig Rutherfoord from Ghost Mountain Inn. In addition to these properties, Amakhosi Safari Lodge, Isandlwana Lodge and Cathedral Peak Hotel will be represented by Ethos Marketing and will also be joined by The Oyster Box Hotel.
Agents and operators will also have the chance to meet key partners Africa Collection, African Pride and Tourism KwaZulu-Natal at certain events. Local travel trade are in for a real treat!
The Programme:
18 July – an event for independent specialised travel agents at popular Shaka Zulu restaurant in Camden,London co-hosted by specialist Tour Operator Africa Collection and Tourism KwaZulu-Natal. The evening will comprise a workshop followed by a famous Durban Curry!
19 July – Independent agents in the South East can enjoy a workshop followed by a “lekker” traditional braai (Barbeque), hosted by Africa Collection and Tourism KwaZulu-Natal at Africa Collection’s offices in Horsham, West Sussex.
20 July – the roadshow heads north to York where African Pride will entertain some of their agents and reservations staff at another workshop.
21 July – the team head to Cheshire for a lunchtime workshop including drumming and a couple of “bush-tucker trials” for Northern-based tour operators and travel agents at the impressive Jabula South African restaurant.
22 – 24 July – The Roadshow joins up again with Africa Collection and Tourism KwaZulu-Natal for theCLA Game Fair at Blenheim Palace where Africa Collection are pulling out all the stops with a KwaZulu-themed tent including Zulu entertainment and other surprises – not to be missed!
25 July – The Roadshow heads for The Cotswolds and a specialist Tour Operator/Travel Agent brunch event at Lower Slaughter Manor.
25 July – the final evening will be another workshop and Durban Curry evening at Shaka Zulu in London for tour operators and any travel agents who were not able to attend the first event.
