Majeka House and Blissful Bedrooms

So, you have sold your client into South Africa – the incredible wildlife, stunning scenery, cosmopolitan cities and the most wonderful food and wine experiences.

Next, you’ve plotted the itinerary. You are dealing with first timers to South Africa, so you feel that the iconic and tried and tested Cape Town – Garden Route and Safari itinerary is the one to go with.

Now looking at the Winelands you are struck by the choice of towns. Do you go for the well-known, quaint town of Franschhoek, the hidden gem of Paarl or the foodie capital that is Stellenbosch.

You plum for Stellenbosch. This is a vibrant town with a wealth of diverse bars, restaurants and eclectic boutiques. Just made for wandering, stopping off for a coffee and homemade cake or holding out for lunch at that great looking Lebanese restaurant serving local South African wines.

Now it is all about the property. What makes you choose where you are going to send these first-time travellers to South Africa? Location we have already decided upon. Budget surely will be next. We strongly believe that on a holiday that includes a safari element, save as much of your client’s budget for this portion as you are able to find some wonderful Cape Town and Wineland products at great “Affordable Luxury” prices.

What else?

Will they experience a warm and friendly welcome from all of the staff?

Can they enjoy some incredible locally sourced food and drink?

Are there grounds to relax in and enjoy some down time on a balmy day?

Is there somewhere cosy and inviting if you are unfortunate with the weather or travel in the winter?

But what else should get asked and often doesn’t …

Will I get a good night’s sleep?

Is my bed one that I will sink into, cocooning me with softness, allowing me to drift off into slumberland!

Rest is key to a great holiday and an amazing experience. I know, having experienced some truly shocking beds over the years. Some so hard that I gathered all my blankets together to lie on for some softness! Yep – it didn’t really work but you get my point!

I’m not sure that many people give a lot of thought to the comfort of their beds, other than the very well-advertised Premier Inn Lenny Henry ads.  And may I add – Karine and Lloyd – the owners of Majeka House.

Comfort and relaxation are paramount to the enjoyment of the rooms and suites at Majeka House. Enormous beds, the most beautiful bedding, enough pillows to satisfy the fussiest and a mattress that does exactly what it should – allows for the best night’s sleep. An added extra – artwork on the ceiling for you to admire rather than a plain white ceiling!

Not only does it tick that box, but Majeka House is in the suburbs of Stellenbosch, has stunning grounds to relax in, amazing food and an extensive local wine list (and gin list which pleases me no end!). The bar, with its open fire, is very welcoming in the winter (as is the incredibly expansive spa!) and finally, the staff ooze that well renowned South African hospitality.

So, ensure that your clients are going to love their stay in the Winelands without breaking the bank.  Look at some of the specials that Majeka House have on offer at the moment.  £75 per person B&B for the rooms that British guests prefer the most – the Garden Alternative rooms – with their bright and airy rooms opening up to patios and pool access.  A pool that is reserved just for the guests of the 3 Garden Alternative Rooms.

Or indulge if it is a special occasion with the Pool Side Suites – another favourite of British travellers.  These stunning suites share 1 pool between 2 suites, have a gorgeous “indoor/outdoor” lounge and terrace and are the most exclusive rooms at Majeka House.  Currently you can secure these for a very special rate of just over £100 per person B&B.

Take a look or a relook at the Majeka House website, so that you can remind yourself what a special little property this really is.  www.majekahouse.co.za
