Alison and Amanda have recently visited Ngoma Safari Lodge to experience both the lodge and to visit the local community. Entering the Chobe National Park through the Ngoma Gate ensures a far quieter game experience in terms of vehicle numbers but not game. We have never experienced the numbers of crocodiles that we saw in a single drive. Equally, access to Kasane for the boat safaris, sunset and sunrise cruises is just as effortless.
There are a number of community initiatives that take place throughout the tourism industry however Ngoma Lodge has a particularly strong model with Machaba Safaris actually managing the lodge on behalf of the community who own both the lodge and the land.
