Set along the Klasserie River amidst giant Jackleberry trees you will find our true to the word trails camp.
Our camp is engrained with history having being started by widely respected father of trails in Africa Clive Walker.
Clive started the trails camp in the early 1970’s with Gary Freeman joining him in 1987 and together they successfully ran trails up until 1993 when Gary took over.
Gary has continued to run the trails camp for the last 29 years sharing his incredible knowledge and passion for the African bush with guests from all works of life.
Having known Gary from a very little boy I was fortunate enough to be taken under his wing and mentored in the very same camp over 15 years ago, an experience and knowledge basis which has guided me in my career.
Whilst training under Gary I was exposed not only to his abundant knowledge of the area and all its inhabitants both big and small, but also to the essence of what a true wilderness walking trail is as started so many years ago.
The camp holds many amazing stories from lion hunts to naughty elephants and others more personal for not only myself but also my life and business partner Nicola as the place where our journey together all began.
So come and unravel the intricacies of the African bushveld with us and create your own story!!
