Steenberg Hotel has been rated among the Top Ten Luxury Hotels in Africa in the prestigious 2010 TripAdvisor Travelers’ Choice awards. The annual TripAdvisor Travelers’ Choice awards honour the world’s best hotels, who earn their distinction from those who know them best – real travellers.

This year, these travelers accorded Steenberg Hotel a coveted 6th place among the Top Ten Luxury Hotels in Africa. What distinguishes this hotel awards program among others across the globe, is that award winners are chosen on the basis of millions of real and unbiased reviews and opinions about hotels, loaded voluntarily onto the TripAdvisor website. Relevant content from across the web is also taken into consideration. Hotels selected for a TripAdvisor Travelers’ Choice award, are recognized for their outstanding service, value and quality. PEER EDUCATORS INITIATIVE ENCOURAGES HEALTHIER LIVING

Here at Steenberg we place the well-being of each staff member at the very core of our company ethos. We are therefore proud to introduce a very special, highly dedicated team of Steenberg staff who, with a concerted focus on encouraging their peers to live healthier lives, are making a real and tangible difference.

The Steenberg Hotel Peer Educators are a carefully selected group of people with an innate interest in uplifting and educating their fellow employees and their extended communities. Tasked with driving the HIV/AIDS Workplace Intervention Programme and charity drive, each member has undergone intense life skills and counselling training, underscoring their commitment to serving their fellows with confidentiality, loyalty, dignity, discretion and respect.

NEWSFLASH: HARVEST 2010 PREPARATIONS KICK OFF!!

This is an exciting time of year among the vineyards at Steenberg, with vibrant harvest activity which kicked off in January, signifying the beginning of a brand new year. According to our winemaker JD Pretorius, with a bit of luck, and, of course, combined with his skill, hard work and patience, the 2010 vintage promises to be a good one.

HEAVENLY BREAKFAST AT BISTRO SIXTEEN82

Nestled amidst the vineyards and surrounded by reflection pools, tranquil water features, ‘sensory’ gardens, with the majestic Steenberg Mountain in the distance, Bistro Sixteen82 offers a magical setting for deliciously long, languid breakfasts. Here you can indulge in one of life’s true culinary pleasures, in the company of family and friends.

With a Breakfast menu offering delights such as Fresh Hillcrest summer berries with honey comb yoghurt and toasted almonds; Truffled egg soufflé omelette with white asparagus and toasted sourdough; and crisp, smoked bacon on a potato galette with poached eggs and hollandaise sauce, you will be hard pressed to decide.
