The 24th February 2010 saw Sue Rothwell from Ethos Marketing round up her team of intrepid explorers and head off to Tanzania on the Serena fam trip, hosted in conjunction with Kenya Airways and Precision Air.
The first stop was exotic Zanzibar Serena Inn where the group enjoyed a fascinating visit to a Spice farm, a tour of historic Stone Town, a seafood barbeque at Serena’s Mangapwani Private Beach and an authentic Arab Dhow trip to Prison Island to view the tortoises. Then it was a light aircraft flight to the Selous Game Reserve, where the group stayed at both the tented Selous Luxury Camp and the enchanting Mivumo River Lodge, both of which have only recently fallen under the Serena brand. Highlights included a thrilling all-day game-viewing adventure with a magical swim in the hot springs, plus sunset/fishing cruises on the mighty Rufiji River, where close encounters with hippo and crocs got the pulses racing!
The group unanimously agreed that this had to be one of the most “untamed”, stunningly beautiful and little-discovered parts of the African Continent!
