Dear Rani Supporters,

It is with very sad news to notify you that Rani Resorts offices in Fourways burnt down in the earlier hours of this morning (14th of February).

We’re still not yet sure as to the cause of the fire but the offices are destroyed and our normal communications are down as a result. There was no-one in the offices at the time so there has been no injury to staff or anyone in or around the building.

In order to resume operations with minimum inconvenience to our guests and supporters, please note that we expect minimal downtime as we have implemented a swift contingency plan – the most crucial points of concern being as follows:-

1)     We have already organised temporary office space within the same office park (Waterford Office Park in Fourways) so that we can start finalising arrangements to replace computers and our server.

2)     We have a sophisticated reservations system which is internet-based and, as such, can still access all our reservations and property availability at anytime, so no bookings or guest arrivals will be affected by the situation.

3)     Our landline will be diverted to our after-hours reservations number: +27 (0)83 642 1663. This will take  24 hours to come into effect, so should you require any assistance from a reservations perspective, please contact us on the following numbers:

Please also notify your database of agents so they are aware of the changes. We will send communication out as well, however, without our server working, we may not be able to access our entire database until Monday mid-day.

4)     We are setting up our Reservations Team with gmail/yahoo addresses so that they can still send and receive emails until our mailserver is up-and-running, which is expected to be on Tuesday, the 16th of February. We will also be available via skype:
