Pakamisa is situated in northern KwaZulu-Natal, not far from the Indian Ocean (50 km as the crow flies), about 15 km south west of the little town of Pongola. The reserve comprises a pristine malaria free wilderness area of some 2500 hectares.

GAME VIEWING:

Enjoy the exclusive experience of natural African bushveld with its unparalleled abundance of wildlife and exotic vegetation. Guests can see leopard, giraffe, zebra, waterbuck, red hartebeest, warthog, bushpig, kudu, nyala, impala, bushbuck, common reedbuck, mountain reedbuck, grey and red duiker, steenbuck, klipspringer, baboon as well as many smaller mammals, predators and reptiles. The bird life, too, is prolific and varied.

HORSE RIDING

At Pakamisa we specialise in pleasure riding holidays for families, groups and individuals.

Combining the magnificent scenery with the thrill of riding amongst teeming herds of game is something no horse lover coming to South Africa should miss.

- For safety reasons the groups are limited to six riders.

- Children are allowed on horse safaris from 10 years on, unless prior arrangement.
