Mont Rochelle Hotel invites you to relax in one of the luxurious bedrooms and suites, most of which offer spectacular views across the valleys and vines of Franschhoek.
Each of the 16 bedrooms and 6 suites are individually decorated, creating a unique ambiance. En suite bathrooms, telephones, televisions, safes, under-floor heating, air-conditioning and in-room refreshments are amongst the facilities in each room.
The Hotel spans over three wings, giving you the privacy you would expect from a Boutique Hotel. Guests arrive in the Garden Wing of the Hotel, which houses the Reception, Colonial Cigar Bar, eight Luxury Bedrooms, one Junior Suite and Business Centre.
In the Manor House is the Fine Dining Restaurant as well as two Junior Suites, one Deluxe Suite and two Luxury Bedrooms. Down the stairs from the Restaurant one is surprised to find a third wing, the Vineyard Wing, where each of the Luxury bedrooms has its own private garden, as well as two Deluxe Suites with private plunge pools.
A second restaurant serving Al Fresco meals, Wellness Facility, Sauna, Swimming Pool, Pool Bar and Gymnasium can also be found on the premises.
Having owned a number of Michelin Restaurants, Schnitzler has a passion for food and wine, and has created two very different venues where guests may enjoy a meal to suite their mood.
The Farm is situated against the Klein Dassenberg Mountains. It boasts a quaint Boutique cellar, which has a unique character due to its layout and design. Previously a fruit packing shed, the cellar has many historic elements and a unique feel to it. The gorgeous Cape Dutch Manor House surrounded by stunning garden and horse filled paddocks, and the tasting room, offer a homely feeling, with personalised service and true South African hospitality.
The objective is to create wines which are fit for any occasion. A range of easy drinking wines is available – quaffing wines to be enjoyed on a hot summer afternoon or with a bowl of pasta after a day in the office. The signature wines are there to indulge you and are perfect for a special celebration or to enjoy with a gathering of friends.
The Vineyards have been planted with noble cultivars and reflect the full range of the terroir of the valley. Presently 16 of the 33 ha farm is under vine and boast Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Merlot, Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon.
