LOCATION:

• Located within the Greater Makalali Game Reserve in the Limpopo Province.

• West of the Kruger National Park.

• A 5-6 hour scenic drive from Johannesburg.

ACCESS

• Scheduled flights to either Hoedspruit or Phalaborwa airports. Garonga will arrange road transfer from either airport.

• Kruger-Mpumalanga International Airport (MQP) is a 3-hour drive from Garonga or alternatively Chilli Pepper Charters offers charter flights direct to Garonga’s private airstrip.

• Check in is 14h00 and check out is 11h00. Guests must arrive before the Conservancy gates close at 17h00 May – Aug or 17h30 Sept – April with no exceptions. A gate entry fee applies.

ACCOMMODATION:

• 6 luxurious rooms can accommodate max 12 people.

• Each room has a private terrace with Hammock and indoor and outdoor shower.

• Moorish style with tented roofs.

• Children aged 8 – 15 sharing with their parent’s pay 50%. Regrettably children under the age of 8 cannot be accommodated. Children 6 and above are however accepted at Little Garonga, the new camp a short distance from the main camp.

The Hambleden Suite (which has an adjoining family room),

The Buckingham Suite and The Chiltern Suite (ideal for honeymooners).

• Little Garonga can accommodate a maximum of 6 adults and 2 children.

• Each suite has a private viewing deck with Hammock and indoor and outdoor shower.

• The camp does have a low strand electric fence

RATES:

• Rates are quoted per suite, which sleeps a maximum of 2 adults – not per person.

• Rates include all meals, accommodation, all game drives, bush walks, bush baths and picnics. Rates also include all soft drinks, house wines, local beers and local spirits.

• Fantastic winter rates from May – August.

• The gate entry fee of R75 is excluded

CHILDREN:

• Children aged 6 – 15 years are welcome at Little Garonga, and the Hambleden Suite has a specially adapted adjoining kiddies room with twin beds to accommodate a maximum of 2 children sharing with 2 adults. Regrettably children under the age of 6 cannot be accommodated at Little Garonga. Rates vary from R1500 per child to R1850, depending on the time of year.
