AMAKHOSI SAFARI LODGE WELCOMES NEW MANAGEMENT TEAM

Amakhosi Safari Lodge is delighted to announce the recent appointment of management couple, Ryan Fulton and Karen Twine.  With extensive experience working in 5-star lodges in the Kruger National Park, The Waterberg and Etosha National Park in Namibia, Ryan and Karen believe that personal, hands on and consistent levels of service is key.  They intend to embark upon an aggressive internal training programme emparting their extensive knowledge and well moulded training modules within this arena to all staff at the lodge, taking the Amakhosi experience for guests to the next level.

“We are delighted to be at Amakhosi and look forward to giving guests an african experience they will never forget”, says Ryan.  “Guest interaction, service delivery and offering a personal touch, along with getting the basics right is crucial in today’s competative game lodge industry”, added Karen.

With more than 10 years experience in the hospitality and travel industry, Ryan and Karen’s paths crossed a decade ago in a restaurant in Cape Town.  The decision to move to the bush was taken when Ryan embarked upon a field guiding course, and made the decision to move to Johannesburg.  Ryan is a keen amateur photographer and has an intense passion for the African bush, its diversity and beauty.  So much so, he is currently studying his National Diploma in Nature Conservation through UNISA.  Karen’s is a talented spirit with a love for the arts, especially painting as well as tinkling ivories on the piano.  She is also a certified bookkeeper.   This formidable team also enjoys cooking, the outdoors and are keen campers who love spending time in the natural environment.

Amakhosi Safari Lodge would like to take this opportunity of bidding farewell to Alwyn and Sonja Wentzel, who have managed the lodge for the past 8 years.  They have been instrumental in developing and maintaining high standards of service excellence, showing absolute dedication and passion in all that they do.  They will be missed!
